Around the island

The island is best explored on foot, and it is a short and easy walk from the quay to the cabin. We therefore recommend leaving the car in the car park close to the ferry terminal in Florø. However, as mentioned, it is possible to take your car on some of the ferries if you need to. You must book a place in advance, and be aware that not all ferries will have space for a car. There is no designated parking space at the cottage, but street parking is possible.

From the quay, take the first road to the right and follow it for about 120m. You then turn left and follow the road for approx. 450m, turn left again, and after approx. 35m you will see a green gate on the left. You have arrived at Fanøy Island Lodge. -Welcome!

Food and drink

Close to the ferry quay on Fanøy is the grocery shop Nærbutikken Batalden. Here you will find everything you need in terms of food and drink. The shop is mainly self-service, except during a defined core time around the scheduled ferry call in the afternoon, and is therefore easily accessible both late and early. The shop is actually open from 07:00-23:00 365 days a year! In addition to a good selection of food and a great fruit and vegetable section, the store offers services such as the national lottery, a library, kayak hire and tourist information.

Here you can also find a selection of goods ranging from flowers and toys to fishing equipment. In connection with the store, there is a cozy coffee corner where everyone is most welcome to relax with a cup of coffee. Several times a year there are social events in the coffee corner.
