A quiet island, beautiful nature and costal culture
Fanøy Island Lodge is located on the wild and beautiful Fanøy, a short ferry ride from Florø, in a small archipelago with islets and reefs, with the ocean as its nearest neighbor.
Here you can enjoy quiet days on the terrace or on the jetty in our own private cove, paddle around the narrow straits in the immediate area and fish from the rock. You can also go on adventures with Fanøy Island Lodge as your base.
The area is rich in nature experiences and Fanøy has a network of hiking trails well suited for discovering the uninhabited parts of the island. For those who like to go on mountain trips, we have several suitable mountains in the archipelago, which are easy to get to by rental boat or shuttle boat. Store Batalden is perhaps the most famous of the hiking destinations in the area, but you also have, for example, Blåkollen and Lille Batalden.
If you are culturally interested, Fanøy boasts its own music festival! Havblikkfestivalen takes place at the end of June each year and also organizes a series of smaller concerts during the year at Batalden Ishus, which is within walking distance of Fanøy Island Lodge.
The Saga Island Kinn, with its exciting history and verdant landscape, is also one of our closest neighbors. Here you can enjoy great hiking terrain, a stone church from the Middle Ages and every year in June, you can experience the popular Kinnaspelet. -A historical play that is performed magnificently between the rock wall and the church. The play has been a fixture on the program for the past 30 years and over 90,000 visitors have seen it.
